FAILURE
don't use regular screen printing ink for your gocco. it drys much quicker than the riso hi-mesh stuff and clogs the screen. new york currently has no re-stock for goccos but the central art supply on 3rd ave will begin carrying some on june 1st. thank you for letting us crash your studio jen! that little skateboard rules.

N amesak E vs. N athali E
these two octopus balloons are total bros. i wanted to see a yeti crab up there with them. nathalie & i are real close to finishing our cover of this dodos song for crab malice. i showed my co-worker last night & was told that it has a, "celine dion feel in the beginning" & that i should take my vocals out. man o man, sharing is tough..........(huge thanks to avery & juniper for counting us off)

YOU REALLY OUGHT TO SIT DOWN AND THINK HARD ABOUT WHAT IT IS THAT'S MOST IMPORTANT TO YOU
+

i have been thinking about that...but things are so complicated and tangled together. i can't seem to separate them out and do one thing at a time. I don't know how to untangle things.

i think what you ought to do is start by thinking about the simplest things and go from there. for example, you could stand on a street corner somewhere day after day and look at the people who come by there. you're not in any hurry to decide anything. it may be tough, but sometimes you've got to just stop and take time. you ought to train yourself to look at things with your own eyes until something comes clear. and don't be afraid of putting some time into it. spending plenty of time on something can be the most sophisticated form of revenge.

IT'S EXCITING TO BE ITALIAN
my dad explained how to bake peppers like my grandma use to. i recorded the song in the video 7 years ago this may. it's crazy to think so much time has past. i ended up making about 4 or 5 songs that month and passed them out to a few people on tape cassette. here's another one. almost friday. almost may.

HSA MIX TRADE 2008: APRIL
get the april mix here. i got it myself on friday. it was a sunny day and i didn't have to go into work. amy browne was visiting & she, karen & i drank a six pack, made salsa verde & listen to it start to finish. it's perfect. the cd (& bonus cassette with 4 extra tracks) came tightly wrapped in the pages of an old art book documenting robots & space travel. this was all then wrapped again in the pages of an old text book describing evolution. the tape and cdr are marked rasta. thanks so much sam!
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
track list: sierra leone's refuggee all-stars, the dead bodies, malvina reynolds, daniel paquette, mice parade, hi! hello!, murs & slug, jules & jim, peter salett, minus story, obechoir, jape, the real people, bill ricchini, andre nickatina, andy williams, the wilderness, water island, the ruby suns, audio out send... the mix was too long to fit in a podcast. so, a couple songs were cut off, including "big sur" by mason jennings.
